According to Ms Odinga, social media users forced President Uhuru Kenyatta to quit from online, something that should not be taken for granted.

At Kasarani Stadium on Sunday, Uhuru seemed to concede that he was forced out of social media due to persistent politicking and spreading of propaganda.

“When they see me remain silent, they should not think they are threatening me. I will flush them out from where they are… Just because you are making headlines, don’t think you will bother me. And that is why I stopped concentrating on newspapers or those Facebooks of theirs,” said the President as quoted by the Citizen TV.

In March this year, Uhuru deactivated all his social media accounts with Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita claiming that they had been hacked.

But in a tweet, Ms Odinga on Monday claimed that Uhuru was flushed out of social media by Kenyans especially those on Twitter.

"Kenya is the only country to successfully cyber bully a head of state off of social media. These KOT streets are not to be taken lightly," she said.

By the time he quit social media, Uhuru had slightly over 3.5 million followers on Facebook and an equal number on Twitter. It's not clear whether or not he will be back.
