Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot has expressed reservations for the Building Bridges Initiative report, just 48 hours before the official launch.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga will be receiving the report at State House on Tuesday, a month after the team concluded report writing.
On Sunday, Cheruiyot wondered why the pro-handshake team was asking Kenyans to support the report at the same time castigate those opposing it.
"On BBI, Please help me understand how it is wisdom to support a report whose contents are unknown but foolishness to oppose the same. Witchcraft is real for sure," he observed in a tweet.
The team allied to Deputy President William Ruto has been opposing the report, which those supporting Mr Odinga have openly vowed to support it even though the content is not yet known.
Early this year, Odinga warned that those who will oppose the report will find themselves in political oblivion, adding that changes are inevitable.
“Once the report is out, we will publish it for Kenyans to give their views then go for a referendum. I have seen a storm, there are signs that it will rain,” said Raila at Kamukunji Grounds in August as quoted by the Standard.
“There is a storm that will take all the Tangatanga people to the ocean,” he added.
President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is among the architect of the report, on Friday asked politicians to stop opposing the content of the report until they read it.
“There are some characters who poke holes into the report yet they are not privy to what is contained inside,” he said.
"Only a fool will say that there are no issues in this country that require addressing," Uhuru added pointing out that changes are inevitable.
