In an interview on Radio Maisha Monday morning, the party Secretary General Barrack Muluka also demanded that the state reveals the actual amount it owes to China.

He added that President Uhuru Kenyatta's leadership must fully furnish Kenyans with information on how the funds are being used and some of the projects they have been channeled to.

"Serikali ituambie imekopesha kiasi kipi, imezifanyia nini na ni kipi kitafuata iwapo itashindwa kulipa deni (let it reveal the amount, usage and penalties of failing to repay the loan as per the terms)," he said.

He warned that the party, which he said is the official opposition bloc, will take unprecedented actions against the government should it ignore the demands.

However, Muluka noted that the warning should not be taken as a threat to Uhuru's leadership.

"Mambo haya lazima yafanywe la sivyo watakiona. Ila haya sio matisho (failure to that they shall see)," he added.

The government is reported to be owing trillions in debt, an amount both Uhuru and National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich have maintained is manageable.

Uhuru has repeatedly said that the credit has been put to good use.
