Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama says he has played a key role in Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka's political journey.
Muthama said he prevailed for Kalonzo's political achievements.
The controversial politician said his relationship with Kalonzo began a long time ago.
"I met Kalonzo when he wore an oversized coat. That one which wouldn't fit his body and up to now we have never parted ways, we won't until our mission is accomplished," Muthama said.
He addressed the believers at Holy Spirit Catholic church in Matungulu Sub County on Sunday.
Muthama said he was the one who signed for Kalonzo to be the Vice President in 2008 and also become NASA flagbearer Raila Odinga's running mate in 2017 polls.
"After 2007 elections, I was the one who signed for Kalonzo to become the Vice President. In both 2013 and 2017, I fought tooth and nail for Kalonzo to clinch the second position in NASA coalition," Muthama said.
"Remember, Khalalwe was fighting for Wetangula too and Bunyasi was fighting for Mudavadi to be given the position but I outsmart them," he added.
Muthama said the ultimatum he gave to Wiper party is still on course.
The former senator said he will take charge if the top Wiper party leadership fails to heed to the ultimatum.
He reiterated his statement of not supporting referendum calls unless the recommendations are favorable.
