Baringo Senator Gideon Moi endorsed calls for constitutional changes.
Speaking to the Saturday Nation, the KANU Chairman noted that the changes are inevitable, especially now when the nation is undergoing many challenges that can be traced back to its standing laws.
He added that Kenyans must be given the liberty to review the current constitution, after eight years of being in operation.
"The new governance came with a cost which Kenyans seem ready to review, having tasted and felt how it is," he was quoted by the paper.
He further bashed a section of unnamed leaders opposed to the changes, calling for soberness and create a conducive environment for Kenyans to choose what they want in a referendum.
“It is important for the citizens to decide for themselves what needs to be improved and how they should be governed by the leaders they have chosen or will choose in the future,” he is further quoted.
Raila's team is pushing for among others, the expansion of the executive for a more inclusive leadership and the reduction of elective seats.
