The town has since flourished thanks to its peaceful coexistence among the locals and the visitors.

The peace in the town has therefore opened up a business venture for most of the traders, some of them being commercial sex workers who have flooded the town unlike in the past.

Most of them are locals while others have come from different parts of the country to cash in what they call a 'lucrative business', as though they have earned enough to sustain and do their own investment.

These, however, do not come at ease as they have to accommodate all types of men they may come across.

Anne, a commercial sex worker in Eldoret says most of her colleagues do fear to sleep with customers who are Ugandan citizens, reasons? they struggle to sustain their manhoods while offering the service.

She also revealed that they are the most arrogant clients to deal with as they may fail to pay for the service and when pressed upon to pay, they at times threaten to kill.

"Ugandans are the most arrogant individuals to deal with. They want services for free. They are also blessed down there and sometimes it is difficult to sustain them," claims Ann.

Irene Kwamboka, another sex worker at Oginga Odinga Street in Eldoret revealed that she once experienced the same with a Ugandan truck driver but after reporting them to the local security personnel, she was paid her money.

"Ugandans are indeed the most notorious individuals I have ever met, they pretend a lot especially after sleeping with them and in most cases, they threaten to kill you," said Kwamboka.

Most of these sex workers are now appealing to the local security personnel including the police to protect them from these harassments from these 'unscrupulous foreigners'.
