Former presidential aspirant Mohammed Abduba Dida has now claimed that there are only two serious parties in Kenya.
In a tweet Saturday, he said that political indiscipline has rendered the majority of the political parties vision-less political vehicles, which is contrary to what should be the case.
Consequently, he noted, politicians are learning from their own parties, hence the growing cases of rebellion among members, giving an example of Kakamega Senator Cleopa Malala.
He said that ARC and the independence Kenya African National Union (KANU) are the only serious parties in Kenya, adding that parties and alliances should be based on shared ideas.
"Political discipline starts with the parties. Parties have strict laws and principles that guide them. The Malala's, Jumwa' and Kuria's are learning from their party leaders. Alliances should only be formed based on shared ideas. KANU and ARC are the only serious parties," he wrote.
He said that the same is the result of the rebellion being seen with Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa, who has since turned against her Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
Both ODM and Amani National Congress (ANC) have launched bids to kick Jumwa and Malala respectively out, accusing them of contravening party laws.
The two have been seen in dalliance with members of rival parties, with attempts to kick both them out proving futile so far.
