Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong'i has condemned the brutal killing of a secondary school teacher.
According to the lawmaker, Peter Omare Mogusu who until his death was teaching at Hopewell Secondary School in Barut, Nakuru hails from his constituency.
"Omare is one of my electorates. His killing shocked me since he died in the line of duty. Detectives must apprehend the killers for the deceased family to be served with justice," he said.
He insisted that he will follow up the matter no matter what arguing that Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i should order the deployment of police officers to learning institutions to protect teachers who are vulnerable of attacks from students.
"Teachers must be protected since some students at times turn violent like in the case of Omare who it has emerged that he was hacked to death by his students. Matiang'i need to ensure security at schools is beefed up," he noted.
The legislator assured that he will stand with the family during this trying moments.
"I will support the family where possible to ensure the deceased is given a decent send-off," he added,
