Police officers in Nyamira South have launched investigations into the death of a 28-year-old motorcyclist whose body was found with head injuries in his house on Friday morning.
The deceased who was identified as Jared Mokaya is said to have been with his friends on Wednesday in Kebirigo market and left for his house in Konate where he slept and was found dead by his brother on Friday morning.
Narrating the ordeal, his brother Edward Mokaya said he became curious when he saw the door of his brother’s house open very early and when he stepped into the house, he found him lying on the floor with head injuries.
“We immediately called the chief as well as the police to help us investigate and know the cause of the death of my brother," Mokaya said
Confirming the incident, Nyamira police boss Erastus Korir said they have already started to investigate the incident and they will ensure those involved are arrested.
“We have already established where to start our investigations as the man has head injuries meaning he must have been attacked leading to heavy bleeding,” added Korir.
The body was taken to Nyamira Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
