Raila Odinga Junior has joined his father in paying tribute to his late grandfather, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga after he passed away 26 years ago.

Raila Junior who is one of the most influential children of the former Prime Minister and the opposition chief took to his Twitter page to praise Jaramogi saying that he has impacted their lives positively.

He admitted that they missed their grandfather so much since he had departed.

"We dearly miss Jaramogi and will always cherish the memories. He left a strong mark on us all. 26th remembrance," Raila Junior wrote

He accompanied his tweet with a TBT photo of Jaramogi having good moments with his grandchildren, Elijah Oburu, the late Fidel Odinga, Rosemary Odinga and him.

Earlier on, Raila Odinga had penned an emotional message to his father who is still known as the father of opposition politics in Kenya. 

He termed him as selfless, patriotic and a visionary leader who saw the building of a nation.

The ODM leader asserted that Jaramogi's memories will never be forgotten despite his physical absenteeism. 

"Your memory remains a permanent presence in your absence." Raila wrote in part

Jaramogi succumbed to heart attack on January 20, 1994, in Nairobi.
