Garissa Township MP Aden Duale on Tuesday joined hundreds of Muslim faithfuls in marking the end of Ramadhan, and praying for the Eid ul Fitr celebrations at Eastleigh High School in Nairobi.
During the prayers in Easteligh, Duale urged Muslim faithfuls to rally behind Presdient Uhuru Kenyatta in the fight against corruption.
"Urged the Muslim Umma to rally behind President Uhuru Kenyatta in the fight against corruption and misuse of public resources in his efforts to fight graft in the country in order to achieve the Big Four Agenda," Duale tweeted.
The fight against corruption is one of President Kenyatta's legacy as he serves his final term in office.
The president has on several occasions declared that no one swindling taxpayers coffers will be spared, noting that the war on graft only targets corrupt individuals, and not communities.
President Kenyatta has been urging politicians to stop politicizing the war on corruption, instead asking them to allow independent constitutional agencies mandated to fight the vice to do their work.
A section of politicians have in the recent past accused the agencies mandated to fight graft of allegedly targeting particular individuals, and communities in the name of fighting corruption.
However, agencies involved in fight against graft among them the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) have often denied targeting certain individuals or communities in war against graft.
