Kakamega Senator Cleopa Malala has dismissed claims that ODM leaders have hijacked the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
He said that no one can hijack their own idea.
Malala urged those accusing ODM leader Raila Odinga of hijacking the BBI, to accept that the original owners of the BBI are President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
"You cannot hijack your own idea. We have to appreciate that the original owners of BBI are Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta," he argued.
On claims that BBI report have not yet been published and distributed to various parts of the country, the Deputy Minority Leader in the Senate said that it's a lie.
Speaking at an interview in NTV on Tuesday, Malala revealed that the BBI report has been published and they have already received their copies in Kakamega.
He also brushed off those saying that ODM is using BBI rallies to sell themselves politically dismissing it as mere speculations.
"I want to brush of this perception that copies (of the #BBIReport) have not been printed for the people to read. In Kakamega we met all leaders and shared copies...You cannot say that thing has been reduced into an ODM rally," he said
