Amani National Coalition (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has launched a scathing attack against President Uhuru Kenyatta over the state of the country.
Speaking on Tuesday during a press conference, Mudavadi questioned how Uhuru is managing the country’s debt state as he lamented over-borrowing.
“Today the national debt is just shy of Sh6 trillion mark. Most of this money has not been accounted for, but when we ask the government to publish the country’s debt portfolio, they give us a deaf ear,” Mudavadi said.
He advised Uhuru to set up a debt management institute to make sure it handles and explains the state the country is in.
In a new style, Mudavadi also went hammer and tongs on the head of state accusing him of being clueless on where the country is.
Specifically, the ANC leader said Uhuru’s recent state of the nation address was way below the marked and made him cut the image of man not in charge of his house.
“He glossed over issues. He spoke in vague, unequivocal terms. The Head of State Address was a damper which left many us thinking whether he lives in this country or somewhere else. He must use the 56th Madaraka Day to redeem himself,” he said.
