Siaya Senator James Orengo now claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta's government is premised on political appeasement which explains the reasons behind its woes.
Speaking on Wednesday morning on KTN, he observed that Uhuru did not consider in-depth the people he gave Cabinet positions because he did it to appease political players.
He said that Uhuru did not sit down to consider what was best for Kenya, and is now realising that he messed up at a time when he has no time to correct his mistakes.
"When President Kenyatta was formulating his Cabinet in 2013 and 2017, they were answering to political demands. They did not sit down and look at what was at stake and I think these prosecutions at are beginning to show that the President has seen the lost time," he said.
He also stressed on more sobriety in the fight against corruption, warning against tribalizing the war on graft at a time when the fight seems to be intensifying.
"On issues of crime let's put ethnicity and tribes aside. We are not gonna be able to fight corruption if at any time an individual is arrested or charged you begin to all about your tribe or community," he advised.
