Speaking on Radio Jambo's 'Mazungumzo Waziwazi' Wednesday evening, Inende pointed out that some of the relevant bodies are underperforming, specifically the Directorate of Public Prosecution.

He blamed Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji for failing to fully tackle the menace, faulting him for failing to go for the main cause of the many corruption scandals in the government."

"In my opinion, the body is incompetent. Hawawezi sema wanapigana na ufisadi ilhali wanaowasaidia wezi bado wapo ofisini.

(It cannot purport to be fighting graft when the people approving the theft are still in office)," he said.

With the culprits still in office, he said, the nation should be prepared for even more scandals.

He said that the country should brace for another possible loss of money at the National Youth Service (NYS), which has lost billions of money in recent twin sagas.

"Wakenya wasishtuke kuona kashfa ya tatu kule NYS (Kenyans should not be shocked should we see another round of the NYS scandals," added Inende who adds up as a commentator for one of the local dailies.)

Haji's tenure has so far seen a number of scandals probed and suspects arraigned, some of whom are former leaders and state officials.
