Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested five people suspected to be fraudsters.
In a tweet on Monday afternoon, the DCI said that the five were arrested in Juja.
''Five suspected fraudsters were last night arrested by @DCI_Kenya Detectives from Juja, & Over 40,000 Sim Cards, several Mobile Phones, 3 Laptops & Lists of Names with ID Numbers confiscated in Two separate Apartments in Juja Town & Gwa Kairu. Suspects placed in lawful custody,'' wrote DCI.
According to the DCI, four suspects were arrested at Jeremy Apartments in Juja Town, while one suspect was arrested in Gwa Kairo.
The five suspects are Joseph Kuria, Joyce Kagure, George Maina, Evans Getabu and Loise Wanjiku.
The detectives are still doing investigations to get to the bottom of this matter.
This is not the first time people have been arrested with such items in their possession. They are believed to be using these items to steal from Kenyans in various ways.
The police have declared total war against any form of corruption in the country.
With the helps of leads from locals, several fraudsters and con-artists have been nabbed in different parts of the country.
On Sunday, the police warned citizens against purchasing electronic gadgets from unauthorized dealers which mighty have been used for illegal activities.
