Orange Democratic Movement Secretary General Edwin Sifuna on Wednesday engaged in a spat with lawyer Miguna Miguna.
The two had a heated argument over Raila’s role in firing lawyers who represented Miguna during his deportation case early this year.
According to Miguna, Raila ordered ordered Sifuna and other lawyers to pull out of the case. The lawyer who currently in Canada further claimed that Raila has been putting pressure on lawyers representing him to quit the case.
“Sifuna, advocates are not owned by Raila; are they? You are not one of my advocates presently because @RailaOdinga ordered you out. @RailaOdinga has been putting pressure on my advocates to abandon my cases and most have done so including yourself. So, chase after Jumwa & Co,” tweeted Miguna.
In a quick rejoinder, Sifuna argued that Miguna insulted his lawyers at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
He said that the conduct of Miguna forced them to quit.
“True. He doesn't own them. But you also recognize them as @TheODMparty Lawyers. I'm presently not on the case because you insulted and fired all of us at the airport calling us cowards. Those who stayed did so because @RailaOdinga intervened,” tweeted Sifuna.
The argument arose after Raila claimed that he tried to help Miguina but the lawyer was ungrateful.
