Deputy President William Ruto now wants Jubilee leaders to stop infighting and concentrate on the party's manifesto.
Ruto noted that politicians in the ruling party have embraced a divisive talk and cautioned if not stopped it may derail Jubilee's agenda which is pegged on the Big Four pillars.
“I call on my fellow Jubilee leaders to know that we have the responsibility of bettering the lives of Kenyans by making the country food secure, boost universal healthcare, creation of jobs, provision of better housing, among others,” the DP said on Friday.
Speaking during a development tour in Baringo county, Ruto said Kenyans were hopeful that Jubilee will fulfill its 2017 promises and insisted that all elected leaders must back all government efforts aimed at improving livelihoods of citizens.
"Elections are over, we are also done with appointments to several positions. What is remaining is for our leaders, especially those elected in Jubilee, to focus on development because Kenyans will measure us through our track record," he stated.
Ruto's warning shot come at a time reports of existence of camps in the governing party have been in the headlines.
Succession politics, evictions of illegal settlers at Maasai-Mau Forest, war on graft and the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga is what has appeared as the cause of divisions in Jubilee.
