Speaking in Mukurewini, Nyeri county on Saturday, Kihara bashed the leaders for associating with opposition politicians, predicting doom for them going forward.

She said that the group, which is in support of President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's newfound union, is harbouring secret intentions.

Kihara who was accompanying Deputy President William Ruto claimed that the group is hiding behind the national cohesion and peace narrative to fight the DP.

She predicted more trouble for Muranga Woman Representative Sabina Chege who was on Friday booed for opposing the DP during an Embrace rally in Kenol.

"The Embrace Team should brace itself for hard times ahead. Sabina Chege will cry more because of associating with people who were opposed to Uhuru’s re-election. Voters are sharp,” the MP was quoted by Nation.

Similar sentiments were made by Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua who said that what happened to Chege was expected.

“If you walk with those who were insulting the President, what do you expect?” said the lawmaker.
