The debate about Raila Odinga's lawyers in Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu's case may take a new twist after a senior ODM official responded.

Of the 32 lawyers in Mwilu's defense, almost all of them have close ties with the oppostion leader, who has been a chief anti-graft crusader.

But party Communication Director Philip Etale said Mwilu settled on 'brillian minds who could only be found in ODM'.

Someone asked, Why is it that NASA/ODM lawyers are the ones acting for DCJ Philemona Mwilu? I have taken time to think about it. 

"Here is my answer... Where else can you find FINE, FOCUSED and SHARP legal minds?" he paused.

The battery of lawyers are led by Senate Minority Leader James Orengo and Nyamira Senator Okong'o Mogeni both from ODM party.

Others are Antony Oluoch, Millie Odhiambo, Peter Kaluma and Mutula Kilonzo.

At Milimani High Court, Mogeni managed to get an order suspending criminal proceedings against the DCJ until certain constitutional issues were solved.
