Governor Mike Sonko has been a man under scrutiny since his standoff with Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris during the Madaraka day celebrations.
State House secretary digital in the communications department Dennis Itumbi has however defended the development records of Nairobi governor Mike Sonko over the two years he has been at the driving position of the county that includes electricity connection, youth empowerment, title deeds issuance and Nairobi River clean up.
"Mike Sonko has quite some achievements over the last two years. Just a few that I know in the Energy, Land and Environment sectors. 25k Title deeds, several youths employed to clean up Nairobi River and more than 17k new electricity connections," read a tweet by Itumbi. (sic)
Sonko also defended his own records when he appeared in JKLive on Wednesday from building stadiums, roads, and improving water accessibility.
Sonko further gave the update of the progress for renovating City stadium where phase one is underway.
"My records speaks for itself. The Dandora stadium, the roads, addressing water shortage in Nairobi. For City stadium, we have awarded the contract to Lexis and from last week Monday, they started phase one. We awarded 50 million for the renovation of terraces and the turf on the ground and the toilets,' Mike Sonko said.
According to Sonko, his political enemies are the ones peddling rumours that he has no development record.
