Godfrey Kipkemoi who has been charged over the murder of Irene Jepchumba wants the Nakuru High Court to issue orders to have the deceased’s body exhumed a second post-mortem done.

Kipkemoi was the last person to be with Jepchumba while on a picnic at the Choka Falls on July 6.

He said she fell into the falls while taking a selfie. He was later arrested however after her body was pulled out and a postmortem carried out.

The report said she had marks on her neck which pointed to being strangled.

The suspect has however accused the pathologist who did the report of being a family friend who made conclusions to fix him.

He now wants the court to order for an exhumation of the body for another postmortem to be done by his pathologist.

“The accused person may be heard on an application for orders that the body of the deceased is exhumed to ascertain the cause of death and that a second post-mortem to be done on the body by a different doctor and a doctor representing the accused person,” the notice says.
