A politician allied to Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party has reacted following the swearing in of Ms Irene Mayaka, a nominated ODM MCA in Nyamira county.
Samuel Omwando, who doubles as Kisii County ODM chairman, said finally justice was done to Ms Mayaka.
He said the party decided to stand with Ms Mayaka given her loyalty to the party.
"I am happy that the drama that has been ongoing in Nyamira county assembly has come to an end following the successful swearing in of Ms Mayaka as the dully nominated MCA on the party ticket. Let her now serve the people of Nyamira and represent the party well," said the vocal politician.
Omwando, who unsuccessfully vied for the Kitutu Chache South MP seat during the 2017 polls on an ODM, insisted that Ms Damaris Mouni who has been attending assembly proceedings, should not decamp the party.
"Now that Mouni was kicked out I want to urge her to stay in party because she never knows that will happen tomorrow. Let he be loyal to the party and without doubt, she may be rewarded in future," noted Omwando.
