Kaspseret MP Oscar Sudi has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to leave power before he completes his second and final term in office.
Speaking to the press in Eldoret Town on Wednesday, Sudi said that the relationship between Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto is broken.
He said that the two leaders are no longer in good terms despite promising to stand with each other until the second in command rises to power. Sudi made the remarks after President Uhuru replaced National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich with Ukur Yattani.
“Apparently, the relationship between the President and his deputy is like of a man and a woman who are married but sleeping in different houses and indication that the union is over. Kenyans should not be cheated to believe they are still in good terms,” Sudi said.
Sudi also said that the war against corruption is genuine.
He noted that the succession politics have influenced the decision of the commander in chief of the armed forces to the point that he has forgotten about the people who stood with him when he was fighting to ascend to power.
The lawmaker further divulged that the people are the President have been misleading him on various matters, adding that time has come for him to think twice before he makes any decision.
