Deputy President William Ruto has suggestively claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his new fond friend Raila Odinga could be plotting against him ahead of 2022 presidential elections.

For months now, the DP has questioned the partnership between the duo, often contradicting his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta in matters of national importance.

At Kisii on Saturday, Ruto, without naming directly the two, claimed that they have been crafting on how to make him fall, adding that he's ready to take them head-on.

"Don't take me for a fool. You can't be meeting to scheme against me and on the other side, you want me to work with you. I have been in this game and I know. It won't happen and we are ready for the battle," claimed Ruto.

On Thursday, President Uhuru Kenyatta told off Ruto against his relationship with Raila, insisting that nothing would stop him from sitting down with opposition leader and planning how to serve the people.

During the Gusii event on Saturday, Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi claimed that the fight against corruption, constitutional changes and impeachment plots are are desperate plans to kick out Ruto.

"They are busy talking of amending the constitution, fighting corruption and now impeachment just because of Ruto. We cannot allow them to intimidate him for nothing. We are ready to face them," he said. 

Dr Ruto insisted that the working relationship should br sincere, suggesting that ODM leader Raila Odinga could be plotting to have him fallout with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
