That Chipukeezy occupies Kenya's pantheon of greatest comedians is not subject to dispute.

The events he features as an MC are graced by the high and mighty with cash to burn.

Not many people have had the privilege of seeing the inside of his house.

In the latest episode of Betty Kyalo's 'Upclose' programme, fans of the show were granted limited access into the kingdom that the high-grossing comedian calls home.

It is quite a home, proof that Chipukeezy has a taste for fine things that life has to offer. Sadly, viewers were only able to see the sitting room and the kitchen.

The NACADA boss stays in an apartment located on the upper floors of a condominium. The sitting room is well-furnished with expensive checked sofas.

He has a 49-inch television, and powerful speakers to keep entertained when he's indoors.

A portrait of Churchill sits on one end of the sitting room, a fitting tribute to a man that has meant so much to him.

It is Churchill who gave him the platform to showcase his talent and what a way to say thank you!

The wooden floor is covered partly by a fluffy carpet. There are dolls, one of which were given to him by his girlfriend as a birthday gift.

The kitchen does not disappoint. From mahogany cupboards hanging on the wall to an expensive cooker.

It is a life that's a far cry from what he experienced as a kid growing in Ukambani. He says stayed in a hut with a dusty floor and every morning he had to sprinkle water on the floor to kill the dust.

"We went through so many struggles... When I grew up I wanted to escape the hardship. I prayed to God to give money so that I could build a house with a cemented floor, " Chipukeezy told Betty.
