Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has been asked not to join politics but, instead continue serving as minister.
Omingo Magara, the former South Mugirango Member of Parliament said Matiang'i will not make it in politics.
"Matiang'i thinks he can win an election the same way he has been using police officers to harass innocent people especially during the last year's polls.
"He will fail terribly if he vies for an MCA seat leave alone the governor's seat which I am told he is eyeing," he said.
He urged Matiang'i to focus on his work as a cabinet Secretary and stick to it even after the 2022 elections.
According to Magara, winning the hearts of the electorates is not an easy task.
The vocal politician said Matiang'i advisers are day dreamers who should advise him accordingly.
"Anyone close to Matiang'i must advise him well not to join politics because he will be humiliated terribly. With us we are used to defeat but, Matiang'i may end up committing suicide if he loses a political seat," he noted.
