Deputy President William Ruto is tarnishing his own name, a Governor allied to opposition has claimed.
Governor James Ongwae on Friday, speaking in Nyakoe ward, claimed that DP Ruto should stop fighting with agencies responsible for fighting graft.
"Ruto is spoiling his own name by opposing DCI's involvement in the graft war. He should not blame anyone because he should keep quiet for DCI to work closely with EACC and DPP to bring cartels to book," he said.
He said it is wrong for DP Ruto to continue engaging in a war of words with other politicians more particularly those in opposition in the graft war.
"The DP should respect other leaders because there is no way the country can continue losing money in dubious dealings. Corruption should be dealt with accordingly and by everyone," he noted.
The county boss appealed to Ruto to go slow on his attacks to NASA leader Raila Odinga.
"Unnecessary attacks from Ruto targeting Raila should stop because the leaders are national leaders. Raila is also entitled to speak on matters of national importance," said Ongwae.
Mr Ongwae reiterated same message when he attended another funeral at Nyantaro area in the neighbouring Nyamira County, where he urged politicians to support DCI George Kinoti's efforts.
