Opposition leader Raila Odinga has for the first time spoken about an alleged Nigerian phone number which he allegedly gave his co-principals ahead of his mock swearing in.
Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula claimd that Raila had given them the Nigerian contact and could not be reached during the function.
"He gave us a Nigerian number and we could not reach him. I don't know hat he planned but that is the fact," Wetangula had claimed.
A similar claim had been made by ANC Secretary General Barck Muluka and former Kakamega Senator Bonnie Khalwale.
But on Tuesday in an interview with Citizen TV, Raila distanced himself from the allegations adding that he does not have knowledge on the same.
"I have heard them say a lot of things in defense. Whether Nigerian, Russian of Britain number, I am not just aware of it.
"The truth is, we agreed to meet at Uhuru Park but they did not show up. Each party was free to come or boycott," he said.
The ODM wing of the coalition has persistently accused Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi of betraying Raila during the event.
While Wetangula and Mudavadi introduced the Nigerian phone number aspect, Kalonzo had said that they were locked up by the police.
