Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has been tasked to explain to residents the development projects he has initiated and completed since he was elected in 2013.
Bomachoge Borabu MP Alpha Miruka said he doesn't see any development the ODM allied governor has achieved.
"Ongwae must explain the development projects he has worked on until completion since he took office in 2013. Kisii residents deserve development and not illegal hiring of staff and misuse of public funds," he noted.
The lawmaker claimed that impunity is being witnessed in the county because most of the people employed by the county are Ongwae's allies.
"Ongwae won't see anything fighting corruption because the people engaging in graft are his close allies and relatives. It is time the governor to wake up and serve the electorates," he added.
He maintained that Kisii politicians should stop early 2022 politics to give room for the current leaders to serve the electorates.
Miruka urged Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi to stop panicking ahead of the 2022 polls.
"Maangi should not be bothered about 2022 since the electorates will make the final decision in the ballot," stated Miruka.
