Kisii County commissioner Godfrey Kigochi with reference to Dusit hotel in Nairobi attack said the attackers were living with people who failed to report them in time to authorities.

"I'm appealing to members of the public not to keep quiet. Criminals should be reported to police for necessary action to be taken asap so that we don't witness unnecessary deaths resulting from terror attacks," he noted.

The County boss reiterated that police officers across the county have beefed up security adding that criminals should either surrender or shun from crime before the law catches up with them.

The commissioner asked parents who notice their children behaving strangely to inform police officers for arrests to be made.

"Parents should not keep cool to allow their children to join gang groups. It is high time the public to work with police to fight crime in the region," he added.

Kigochi fired warning shots to police officers who will be caught condoning crime saying they will be sacked and be taken to court.

"Police must not spare criminals whatsoever. Criminals belong to jail," he stated.
