Osoro while addressing bodaboda riders at Etago playing ground on Thursday said as much as he is committed to defending the riders, he expects them to adhere to the set road rules.

"Despite the fact that I will stand firm with the bodaboda riders who are working hard to earn a living, I do not advise bodaboda riders to disobey traffic road rules. I won't defend any rider who fails to adhere to road rules," he said.

He said riders should not take advantage of him being the area MP to violate road rules and when arrested, they call him for intervention.

The legislator insisted that the work of police officers must be respected.

"No police officer will arrest someone without valid reasons. I'm not ready to collide with police officers who will arrest bodaboda riders because of failing to obey the traffic rules," he added.

He challenged the riders to follow the road rules to curb unnecessary accidents.

The lawmaker said riders should be genuine and not thieves stealing from clients.
