Ndeti, who unsuccessfully contested for the Machakos gubernatorial seat, said Kibwana has a right to relinquish his position as the party's chairman.

She said it doesn’t make sense for the governor to make noise from one corner to another simply because he is dissatisfied in one way or another.

“The Wiper chair has requested to be relieved of his position. Prof. with all due respect no one is holding you at ransom. Please resign and leave our party dignifiedly,” she wrote on her Twitter account on Thursday.

Kibwana had earlier said he is not impressed with the way Kalonzo has been treating him in the party.

He said the decision to be President Uhuru Kenyatta’s errand boy was a big mistake Kalonzo made.

Kibwana said he was not happy when Kalonzo asked other leaders not to question his stand as far as the move was concerned.

“During the funeral of Kalonzo’s dad, he announced to be the President’s errand boy and said no one should question him. He was pointing fingers at me since he knew very well I will question,” Kibwana said.

The governor also accused Kalonzo of dictatorial tendencies in the management of Wiper party affairs.

“You cannot call your party Wiper Democratic then kill the democracy in it. If you don’t let people questions, what do you imply?” Kibwana said.
