He follows the footsteps of Michael Olunga, who played in the league before moving to Spain on a loan stint in the Laliga.

Timbe first joined Beijing Renhe in 2017 but was sent out on loan before he could play in the top-tier league after the team earned promotion from the Chinese League One.

He played 23 times, scoring eight goals in the second-tier, but has finally gotten the chance to showcase his talent in China's top league.

Timbe moved through several academies in Kenya, including Ligi Ndogo, before moving to the Anderlecht Academy from the JMJ Youth Academy in 2006 at the age of 13, where he stayed for two years before moving to the Beerschot AC (then Germinal Beerschot) academy in 2008.

He made his international debut for Kenya against South Africa on 16 October 2012, coming on as a substitute for Thika United forward Francis Kahata in the 61st minute.

Masika scored his first goal for the national team in the return leg of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Comoros.
