Controversial Mau Forest evictions, fight against graft, handshake and Big Four agenda dominated President Uhuru Kenyatta's meeting with retired President Daniel Moi.
The two leaders are yet to official inform the public details of the secret meeting though.
But Kanu Youth Leader Kipchumba Ronoh says Uhuru took time to explain to his political mentor Jubilee government undertakings among other topical issues.
"The meeting took place on Saturday morning and the President explained to his mentor reasons behind his focus on Big Four and the fight against graft.
"Also, Mau Forest evictions was discussed in depth along with the handshake with Mr. Raila Odinga," he said.
Apparently, Moi's son, Mr. Gideon Moi, who is keen to succeed Uhuru in 2022, has opposed the ongoing evictions in Mau which Uhuru's government is executing.
In April, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga met the Moi family with handshake politics and unity eclipsing the meeting.
Weeks later, Deputy President William Ruto was reportedly denied entry in Moi's compound when he sought to have a meeting with elder Moi.
Understandably, the president was heading to Rongai for the funeral of Sarah Kasaon, wife to former Deputy Chief of Defence Forces Lt. Gen Joseph Kasaon.
The meeting could elicit political emotions in Rift Valley in which Uhuru is enjoying divided loyalty from young Moi and Ruto's supporters.
