Sirisia Member of Parliament John Waluke has hit out at opposition leaders condemning Deputy President William Ruto over his 2022 presidential bid.
The Jubilee MP said politicians are elected by the electorate to play politics at the same time initiate development.
“As Members of Parliament we were not elected to cook ‘mandazis’ and teach students, for heaven's sake; we are politicians and as you know tomorrows journey is planned today,” said the Sirisia MP in Eldoret town, Monday.
He urged politicians not to be afraid of playing politics since it’s their "daily food".
“MP's should not be afraid of playing politics since this is what we were elected and paid to do. Let's politicize at the same time helping President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy Ruto to achieve the big four agendas,” said the Jubilee point man in Western Kenya.
Waluke, however, reiterated the support of the Luhya nation for the DP saying he will ensure that they vote for him 100 percent.
He noted that Ruto has done a lot to the country and has what it takes to be Kenya's 5th president.
