Murathe shot into controversy on Wednesday last week when he poured cold water on the DP, saying that he is not guaranteed of the Jubilee backing in the race.

Consequently, Ruto has since come out to clear the air on his plans, confirming that he is ready to battle for the party support in a possible nomination.

Speaking in Siaya on Saturday, Murathe said that he is happy that the DP and his camp seem to have taken a humble turn and dropped their initial bragging.

"Things are now better. Ruto has finally sobered up and is willing to take part in the primaries, gone is the pride," he said.

Murathe was speaking during the funeral service of Kepha Tuju, brother to Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju in Rarieda sub-county.

Speaking when he hosted delegations from Bungoma and Busia counties at his Sugoi home in Uasin Gishu county on Wednesday, Ruto expressed his readiness to fight his way up.

However, Ruto's declaration has not saved Murathe from unending attacks from the Ruto faction of Jubilee.
