Despite being around his home, Governor John Nyagarama failed to addressed hundreds of locals who'd turned up for his homecoming party on Tuesday.

The ceremony was planned as part of thanksgiving service following his victory at Appeals Court last week.

But guests were left unattended as the governor decided to lock himself inside the house without uttering a word.

Instead, deputy governor Amos Nyaribo, who was also part of the guests, took the responsibilities and thanked the people for showing up.

While it is not clear why he chose to snub guests, he would have been informed by infighting that has left his government in a deep governance crisis.

Suspended County Secretary Erick Onchana had taken the county to court and challenged appointment of Thomas Nyariki in acting capacity.

Nyagarama is yet to ascertain whether the suspension letter emnated from him since he was out of duty.
