He has had to contend with tough battles and criticism from the opposition and a rival team 'kitaekeweka' inside Jubilee.

Amid Uhuru's advise to stop 2022 politics, DP Ruto has silently been traversing the country to lobby for support in a bid to succeed in his clamour for the presidency in 2022.

This, alone, has got the interest of political analysts who now feel Uhuru might punish him come to the next general elections.

According to political analyst Peter Mukolwe, Uhuru might punish Ruto by endorsing another candidate to succeed him. If this happens, he says, it will leave DP Ruto's political career in a state of uncertainty.

"DP Ruto should respect his boss and stop early 2022 campaigns. If he does not, he might be in for a rude shock. Uhuru might decide to support and endorse a different candidate to teach him a lesson," Mukolwe revealed.

Although Uhuru has not publicly declared his position in the widely-talked-about 2022 politics, his Mt Kenya backyard remains divided as evidenced by teams 'Kitaeleweka' and 'Tanga Tanga'. The region has an almost proportional membership in both camps.

However, it is just but a matter of time before 2022 politics take shape to reveal the most likely candidate to succeed the incumbent Uhuru.
