Sensational Kenyan boy band Sailors who went viral for their song 'Wamlambez' have released a new song dubbed 'Queen B'. The song which premiered on YouTube on Sunday has already gained more than 90,000 views and 929 comments.
This is Sailors third song after 'Pekejeng' and 'Wamblambez'. Their debut song 'Wamlambez' earned them a well-deserved space in the Kenyan music industry attracting over 2 million views on YouTube.
Their second song 'Pekejeng' cemented their fan base with over 1 million views on YouTube.
It is expected that the trend of performance for their songs will continue with this third song as they have maintained their style of music.
The song which is a banger has been produced by MRX Media Ltd.
Earlier on, the four-man band composed of Miracle Baby, Shalkido, Masilver, Lexxy Yung and Qoqosjuma had attracted criticism for the content of their songs with some terming it inappropriate. The band, however, defended themselves during a past interview on The Chipukeezy show.
“When you bring good content that makes sense, people won’t watch it, you see? So we want to give out content that will be appreciated (Ukileta vitu poa zenye kwako zina make sense watu hawata watch na hawataona unacheki? So tunataka kuwapatia vitu zenye wata appreciate)," one of the members of the band explained during the interview.
This year has seen the rise of popular bands with a unique genre which some have claimed is the identity of Kenyan Music. some of the bands include Ethic Entertainment and Ochunglo Family.
