Kenyan gospel musician Willy Paul was among the artists who were travelling to Sumbawanga in Tanzania to perform at Nandy Festival.

According to Nandy, there were no major injuries in the deadly road accident.

“I know there is news doing rounds on social media concerning the accident. It is true the accident happened. Everyone is fine,” Nandy noted in a short video on her Instagram account.

She went ahead to explain that the occupants of the bus which was involved in the accident were dancers and members of her bands. The main artists including her and Willy Paul were however in a different bus.

“The accident involved the second bus which had dancers and band members. We are grateful to God for protecting us last night. It is unbelievable that we had survivors given the state of the vehicle,” said Nandy.

She revealed that some of the occupants of the second bus travelled back for medication while Willy Paul and other artists continued with the journey to Sumbawanga.

Willy Paul had earlier on informed his fans of the accident on his Instagram account.

This comes just a few days after Willy Paul and Nandy hit the headlines over their performance at the Choma Na Ngoma concert.
