Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Friday left a crowd in stitches after he confirmed that he will make Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i his running mate.
The vocal MP allied to Jubilee party insisted that he will run for presidency in 2022 and Matiang'i will deputize him.
"I am ready to name Matiang'i my running mate since I will run for Presidency. Don't you want Matiang'i to test presidency? I have all it takes to be president and Matiang'i be my running mate," said Kuria amid cheers.
According to Kuria, he should not be taken for granted because his ambition to become president is not a joke.
"People may think that I'm joking and seeking relevance inthe country's politics but, they will be shocked when I and Matiang'i will win presidency," added Kuria.
He vowed to make an inclusive government once elected President and Matiang'i Deputy President.
"The Gusii community will be represented well in my government. We need to have people of high integrity like me succeeding president Uhuru Kenyatta once he retires in 2022," noted Kuria.
