Speaking on Thursday when he met with a group of Chinese investors from the Yunnan Zhonghe Pharmaceutical Industry Company Limited who are exploring various investment opportunities within the county, Maangi reiterated the county government's commitment to lure more investors to invest in the county.

"Kisii University is already working with the Yunnan Zhonghe Pharmaceutical Industry Company Limited to set up a large pharmaceutical facility within the county," he said.

The Deputy Governor expressed his confidence that once the pharmaceutical facility is set up, the supply of medical equipment and drugs to health centres across the county will be done smoothly thus improving the provision of health services.

He maintained that Kisii County remains peaceful for any investor to set up his or her business.

"Kisii county is secure and investors need not worry about their security. I urge all investors in the various sectors to set up businesses in the county for the sake of economic growth," he noted.

Maangi, however, warned local politicians against politicizing the county partnerships arguing that they are beneficial to residents.
