Kenya Film Classification Board CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua has praised the Kamba gospel artist Stephen Kasolo for singing good music.
Mutua who has been fighting against 'dirty' content in the music industry, especially among Kamba secular musicians, says Kasolo has engaged in morally acceptable music over the past years.
According to Mutua, the 'Kitole' hitmaker has proven that music content doesn't have to be dirty to fight competition in the market.
"He is a source of inspiration for upcoming artists and the proof that content doesn't have to be dirty to sell," Mutua posted on his Facebook account.
"Money is clean content," he adds.
The CEO states that Kasolo's creativity in gospel industry has landed him to where he is now enabling him to win the groove awards more than twice.
He further likens Kasolo with other gospel singers like Bahati and Gloria Muliro.
"Kasolo's meteoric rise with others like Bahati, Gloria Muliro and many more is an evidence that clean content sells," said Mutua.
Mutua posted these after attending a gospel Music extravaganza at AIC Ziwani with Kasolo on September 22.
The 24-year-old musician got fame in 2013 after releasing the Kitole' album which became an instant hit and later enabling him to win as the best gospel singer from the Eastern region in 2014 Groove Awards.
