Uhuru's lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has come to the defence of two Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MPs allied to the Deputy President William Ruto.
In a social media post, controversial Ahmednasir faulted the ODM party for victimizing Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and Msambweni's Suleiman Ndori for being close to the DP during the party members to begin from their party leader Raila Odinga who has since supported President Uhuru's policies.
The vocal lawyer further added that the opposition camp was exercising double standards as a 'peculiar animal farm.'
"ODM doesn't see the irony of disciplining Hon Dori & Aisha for expressing support for DP Ruto, the No 2 in Jubilee...yet it's ok for Hon Raila ODM party leader to support the policies & politics of HE Uhuru, the No1 in Jubilee.ODM is obviously a peculiar animal farm @JunetMohamed," Ahmednasir posted
The lawyer's statement comes at a time that the ODM party is threatening to expel the duo from the party over conflict of interest and double standards. Their fate now lies at the party's National Executive Council (NEC).
Ms Jumwa and Ndori have openly declared their stand in the 2022 presidential elections, publicly alleging support for Deputy President William Ruto who is apparently Raila's biggest rival.
