Kenyans on social media have expressed mixed reactions after a man was shot dead during a scuffle involving supporters of Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa those of ODM.
Citizen TV reported that the chaos erupted after Jumwa together with her supporters, stormed a meeting organised by the ODM candidate in the upcoming Ganda Ward by-election Reuben Katana and ODM officials.
The man who was shot during the scuffle is reported to be Katana's uncle.
A section of Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) have faulted Jumwa and her supporters for storming the meeting and consequently causing chaos.
Some called on ODM to take action against the MP who decamped to Deputy President William Ruto's bandwagon.
A number of them argued that Kenyan politics is characterised by violence, something which is not right.
They went ahead to note that it is high time politicians stopped being confrontational especially when it comes to elections.
A section of other social media users, however, defended Jumwa arguing that she was not at the scene of the crime instead, blamed the supporters who were present when the chaos erupted at Katana's home.
Here are some of the reactions.
