Sonko says that his government has equal respect for all elected and nominated leaders.

Speaking at Pumwani Grounds on Saturday, Sonko said that Passaris' claims of being sidelined by his government are false.

The governor stated that his office has often engaged Passaris and other leaders on development issues, adding that Passaris' office is key in running Nairobi county.

"We have not neglected or disrespected Passaris office as she claims and we have on several occassions invited her to key county events," he said.

Sonko said that he will continue working with the Nairobi Women Rep on key development projects.

The Governor, however, said that he will not be intimidated by politicians who are out to derail his development agenda.

Sonko claimed that some elected leaders are using their positions to fight his government.

Two weeks ago, Passaris hit out at Sonko accusing him of allegedly disrespecting her office.

Passaris complained that Sonko never invites her office to the county activities.

She claimed that her push to meet and discuss development issues with Sonko has failed several times.
