Kenyatta had challenged politicians to report him to relevant authorities if they had proof he had been involved in corruption.

Sudi, a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto, however, downplayed the sentiments claiming the Directorate f Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the president were one thing.

"Well, well, well said Mr President, I agree with you that we must not address these issues in funerals, weddings or other public functions. But unfortunately, Uhuru is DCI and DCI is Uhuru," Sudi posted on his official Facebook page alongside a video of the president asking politicians to report any corruption issues to the DCI.

DP Ruto allies had over the weekend linked the president's family to an attempt to allow the national carrier, Kenya Airways (KQ) to take over Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) roles of managing the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

Some of the Facebook users were however unhappy with the MP and cautioned him against directly engaging the head of state.

"Leave our beloved H.E the president alone. Let him deliver because I personally voted him..corruption must come to an end. Tumechoka," Li Viviene replied to the Facebook post.
