Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has cast doubt into the agenda of the La Mada hotel meeting in which Cabinet Secretaries who attended have denied plotting to eliminate Deputy President William Ruto.
Speaking at Kass FM's breakfast show on Wednesday, Sudi questioned why some key Cabinet Secretaries like Mwangi Kiunjuri who is from the region and Henry Rotich (Treasury) were not in the meeting.
The said CSs had noted that the meeting was meant to discuss development projects in the Mt Kenya region.
"Kama kweli hiyo mkutano walifanya La Mada ilikuwa ya maendeleo, mbona CS Kiunjuri (Agriculture) na CS Rotich (Treasury) hakuwa? (If that meeting was really meant for development why was CS Kiunjuri and CS Rotich (Treasury) not involved," Sudi posed.
The meeting held at La Mada hotel where four Cabinet Secretaries; Peter Munya (Trade), Joseph Mucheru (ICT), James Macharia (Transport) and Sicily Kariuki (Health) attended is alleged to have been used to plan Ruto's elimination.
However, CS Munya has rubbished the claims saying they are politically instigated.
“If there was such a plan, a statement detailing the plan would have been out; how he is going to be assassinated, by who… someone who has such heavy security his office is almost like a police station is going to be killed by Cabinet Secretaries who have one bodyguard each? That is just bad politics," he said as quoted by Citizen.
