Writing on Facebook on Tuesday night, the outspoken governing Jubilee legislator said that the report merits consideration, having looked at it.

He expressed hope that the recommendations would lead to peace and inclusivity.

"Having had a general look at the BBI document, I think its worth giving a consideration. I hope that by supporting the recommendations we will for once have an inclusive, peaceful country. That we will finally accept the verdict of Kenyans without demonstrations after every general election.Otherwise mimi naona hii kitu iko sawa tu... not a big deal. I hope no one will say they were shortchanged, " the Facebook post read.

The report is set to be officially unveiled today, Wednesday, to the public at the Bomas of Kenya.

Kenyans will be given access to the contents which the head of state has urged them to read so that they can make an informed decision.

Leaders from the religious, corporate, and political sectors were invited to witness the BBI committee hand over the report to President Uhuru.

It is not yet clear whether a referendum will be necessary to implement the initiative's recommendations.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has contended that a referendum is not necessary as the document can be debated and passed in Parliament.
